Itza Olguín is a demographer and actuarial scientist interested in applying different statistical methodologies to study issues such as reproductive and sexual health, fertility, gender gaps in the workforce, and migration flows in Latin American. She has vast experience working as a data analyst in public institutions using and evaluating census data, as well as a consultant in projects like the progress evaluation of The Beijing Platform for Action concerning gender issues. Furthermore, she taught a spatial analysis course at the Center for Digital Culture in Mexico City. Itza Olguín studied Actuarial Science at Universidad Marista. She obtained her master’s degree in Demography from El Colegio de Mexico in 2020 through her thesis on the dynamic use of contraceptives in migrant women.
Itza Olguín will join POPCLIMA from May 2023 as a research associate.
