Sirinya Kaikeaw is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Bologna’s Department of Statistical Sciences taking part in the POPCLIMA project. She unofficially obtained her Ph.D. in Demography in 2022 at the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, Thailand. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the related topic of socioeconomic inequalities in health outcomes among older people during the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) period in Thailand. Her research interests broadly lie in the areas of demography, population projection, population aging, health inequalities, and public health policy.

Prior to joining the POPCLIMA project, Sirinya served as a Project-Based Researcher at IPSR. There, she had been involved in many research projects since 2014, with a particular emphasis on population aging, population projection in sub-area, and housing projection. She primarily contributed to data management and analysis, literature reviews, writing reports, and managing fieldwork. She also provided IPSR with technical, analytical, and research support, as needed while she was enrolled in the Ph.D. program.

Sirinya joined POPCLIMA in March 2023
