I am a Research Fellow in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Bologna. Previously, I was a Research Officer at the French Development Agency in Paris, and a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, including a year as a part-time assistant professor in the Economics Department.
My research explores the interactions between the environment, human institutions, and human activities, with a focus on understanding human behavior and beliefs. I study how social norms contribute to shape inequalities in poverty, education, health, and gender. I also evaluate the effects of climate change and environmental public policies on socioeconomic and health outcomes.
My areas of interest include development economics, cultural and institutional economics, environmental economics, public policy evaluation, and interdisciplinary research.
